Bought the Poulon Pro PR5020 on Amazon. Showed up on time and 2 hours later I proceeded to cut down a downed mesquite tree in my front yard that went down from a large Arizona microburst storm. Within 2 hours out of the box I cut down the tree and cut it into firewood and decorative slices without a glitch. When I showed off the saw to my wife, she asked what happened to the handle?
It was broken in half! It is ALL plastic and broken, but I never dropped it or even noticed it was broken myself. I believe it was broken in shipment and I never noticed it.
I contacted Poulan who advised me to contact Amazon first. When I did, the customer service rep listened to my story and within minutes stated Amazon would replace it. The next day UPS brought a shipping label and took the broken chainsaw and two days later FedEx delivered a replacement! I could not have been more satisfied under the circumstances.
Bottom line, I think the broken handle was a fluke, but nonetheless the chainsaw performed flawlessly in my opinion. I only have it 4 stars because of the broken handle which IS plastic. Otherwise, very satisfied with this purchase. On Amazon.
