"If you're looking to buy the Black & Decker LP1000 Compared to a chainsaw this is a pretty wimpy tool, but compared to hand loppers it is great.
If you have projects that require you to have a powered log splitter then this is probably not a tool that will appeal to you - but if you are just trying to clean up small branches and brush then it is great - much better than a chainsaw because you don't have to worry about the tip hitting the ground or kicking back.
The Alligator Lopper tool allows you to position your branch in the jaws before you turn it on, then it self-feeds and cuts it off for you. Great tool."
